The Global Incubator Network Austria (GIN) is the connecting link between Austrian and international startups, investors, incubators and accelerators with a focus on selected hotspots in Asia (Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Mainland China, Singapore and South Korea).
GIN is a program initiated by the Austrian Federal Government, managed by the public funding agencies Austrian Promotional Bank GmbH (aws) and Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), and financed by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Labour and Economy (BMAW).

Get the chance to discover new markets
GO AUSTRIA Spring 2023 is a market discovery and access program with a focus on Deep Tech startups. The program gives participants the opportunity to explore new markets, as well as to find new collaboration partners and prepares you and your company for your first market entry.
One major asset of the program is the personal startup mentor who will be matched to each startup, supporting it to validate their business model, network with investors and relevant stakeholders, as well as design an internationalization plan.

You have four weeks to apply to the GO AUSTRIA Spring 2023 program.

A jury of national and international experts will select up to 15 startups that will join the program.
Get notified if you have made it into the program or not.
Plan your meetings
Get matched with a mentor, who is a specialist in your industry. Plan meetings with corporate partners and further activities in Austria.
Participate in the digital part
1-week digital onboarding program to receive a first impression of the Austrian ecosystem and the opportunities here. Participate in on demand masterclasses, live online workshops and individual mentor calls.
Participate in the physical part
2-week visit to Vienna, Austria, with a lot of individual meetings and cool networking & social events; with the possibility to extend your stay until June 7th.

About the program
GO AUSTRIA Spring 2023 is an exclusive, intensive 3-week program (online & on-site in Austria) for up to 15 startups who are already in the later-stage phase and planning to expand to Europe.
The program features exclusive workshops, individual mentors, selected events with networking opportunities and special partnerships with selected Austrian corporates.
Additionally, the participants will have the chance to attend the ConnectDay (where startups meet corporates and investors) and the ViennaUp’23, the leading Startup Festival in Central Europe.
This is a perfect chance for startups to expose their ideas to a specialized audience, to meet interesting potential partners and to forge meaningful connections during the program.
What we are looking for?
Startups
We are looking for later stage startups with a Deep Tech solution suitable for foreign markets. The business should have raised money at least once, have an MVP/service with traction, the capactiy to expand to Europe and be max. ten years old.
Focus countries
The program is geared towards startups headquartered outside of the EU, with preferred access for startups from the GIN target regions. The GIN target regions are Israel, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Mainland China and South Korea.
Participants
Attendees should be C-level persons with decision power concerning the startup's internationalization strategy. We strongly encourage female founders to apply. Lastly, attendees should be fluent in English.

Costs covered by GIN
- Flight (max 1.500,-EUR for Asia; 600,- EUR for Israel)
- Accommodation (max. 150,- EUR per night)
- Co-working space

- Entry to relevant events with local corporates and startups
- Cost coverage limited to one person per startup
Each selected startup has to nominate one main person participating in the whole program. Ideally, this should be a C-level person with decision power concerning the company’s internationalization strategy. Participating startups are welcome to include further specialized staff in the workshops of the digital part.
For the physical part, GIN covers the costs for one person only. Participation of additional persons in the on-site program is possible, but costs will have to be borne by the startup.

In that case, we are going to offer you a digital GO AUSTRIA program. Please follow this link, if you’re curious about how our digital acceleration program works. A digital follow-through does not mean that you will have fewer opportunities:
- You will still have a personal mentor who supports you with your internationalization plans and is connecting you with potential business partners via an online tool.
- You will still have the chance to attend events digitally via an online tool.
- You will still participate in our workshops, digitally via an online tool.
- Additionally, we want to offer you a physical opportunity to come to Austria later on.
- After successfully having established relationships with local partners we will be more than happy to invite you to Vienna with all program relevant costs covered.
Within the application period, you can apply via the promoted link. Approximatively three months before the program starts, a jury of experts will select the top ten startups.
